REGISTRATION FOR THE 2008-2009 HOCKEY SEASON IS NOW OPEN

PJH is excited to begin another great season! This year our procedure has changed. While we tried to simplify the payment process for the season by registering directly with USA Hockey and the availability of PayPal; registration is not complete until all forms (PJH Registration, USA Hockey Confirmation, Payment in form of check or PayPal receipt and a photocopy of your child's certified birth certificate) are turned into the Portland Jr. Hawks, Treasurer. This can be done via, mail (Portland Jr. Hawks, 4840 SW Western Ave., Suite 6000, Beaverton, OR 97005) or via email (treasurer@portlandjrhawks.org) or dropping it in the Treasurer box at Valley Ice Arena. Your child will not be allowed on the ice until these steps have been completed!

This season you will need to register online with USA Hockey. This will cost you: $30 for USA Hockey and $18 for OSHA (Oregon State Hockey Association dues). Please read the instructions from USA Hockey.

USA Hockey Registration Instructions

Please go to: http://www.usahockeyregistration.com/ and follow the instructions to register your child for the 2008/2009 season. You will receive a confirmation sheet at the end of the registration process. Please email a copy of this confirmation to our PJH Registrar, Nicole Drews at nmdrews@gmail.com. You will also want to attach a copy of it to your registration form.

If you live in Washington in additional to the $30 that is paid to USA Hockey you will need to include an $9 check with your PJH registration made out to OSHA (Oregon State Hockey Association). The USA Hockey website does not properly charge the fee to Washington residents. We previously stated you would need to pay $18 to OSHA. However, that has changed. If you did pay $18 to OSHA, we are working the Treasurer, Gloria Leo to get the extra $9 refunded back to you. It is required to pay the fee since you are playing in an Oregon association. This season we will be offering 3 skates per week for 6 months for the cost of $850, $550 for Mini Mites who receive 2 skates a week.

As stated on the registration form: *Multiple family discounts: PJH offers a discount of $50 per additional child for families with two or more players from the same household. First player pays full registration fee. All players must register to qualify for discount. However, this discount does not work on PayPal. Please contact the Treasurer, Kristi Ebert if you are trying to register more than one player via PayPal. She will be able to either issue you a refund check for the discount or you can give her your credit card number to run directly. Her email is: Treasurer@portlandjrhawks.org.
